Sylvester Peprah is a well experienced teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. He specialises in the teaching of Mathematics at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-level. Sylvester also has several years of experience as an examiner in the UK, USA and Africa.

I am a highly experienced tutor of Mathematics. I tutor students in Key Stage 3 maths, GCSE maths (Foundation & Higher) and A-Level (AS: Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, Statistics, Further Mathematics 1, Further Mathematics 2);

(A Level: Further Pure Mathematics 1, Further Pure Mathematics 2, Further Statistics) I first identify the issues that make a learner struggles with maths and aim at helping the learner to overcome the issues. I also make a learner realise that we work maths and not read it. With the experiences I have acquired over 30 years of teaching I am able to identity and assist learners to overcome any difficulties they may have with any area of maths.

I started teaching maths in Ghana from September 1985 to July 1989. I taught General maths, Additional maths and A-level maths.

From August 1989 to December 1995, I taught General maths, Additional maths and A-level maths in Ndola, Zambia.

After my master’s degree, I taught Mathematics and Statistics at Vista University, Port Elizabeth Campus from February 1997 to July 2002.

From July 2002 to August 2004 I was a High school maths teacher at Baptist Hill High School in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. I also did a part time lecturer in Statistics at Trident College in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.

I have been in the UK since August 2004 and have been teaching GCSE maths and A-level maths. I am now a lecturer in maths at Suffolk New College. Nothing pleases more than seeing the happy face of a learners achieving their best in any maths assessment.
